C4T Components: Network Operations
The C4T vision is to build bridges between Government, Industry Leaders,
and Academia. A powerful network of communication tools is essential to
providing the collaborative environment necessary to reach that vision.
In the C4T, we have built that infrastructure.
The Network Operations Center component of the C4T hosts the MTCSC Enterprise Network and provides a variety of mission critical operations and business continuity services to the supported environment. We manage servers, hosted applications, network operations and provide offsite connectivity to the MTCSC Enterprise Network via super high speed fiber connection. We provide integrated multi-media capabilities using the latest audio visual technology. The network operations center provides a structured environment that effectively coordinates information technology operational activities of the C4T. Typical daily processes and activities include:
- Monitoring operations of all backbone links and network devices
- Ensuring continuous operation of servers and hosted services
- Providing quality support for network users
- Troubleshooting of all network and system related problems
- Providing Audio Visual support
